BizEnergy has been around now for a little over a year now, and in that time, it’s grown from a completely unknown site to a resource for the foodservice and restaurant industry that gets 3,000 visits a month.
I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished. And, for me, it’s time for new challenges.
Don’t worry—BizEnergy is going to grow, and thrive, and continue to bring you great articles, info, and sustainability tools.
But I’m moving to take advantage of another opportunity.
I’ve enjoyed getting to know the restaurant industry, and exploring how restaurants can become more energy efficient. I’ve been surprised by what topics have been popular (food trucks! Dyson Airblade hand dryers!), and inspired by the chefs, teachers, and restaurateurs I’ve met who are all following their dreams in a slightly different way.
And, in that vein, I thought I’d highlight this great video put out by the CRFA—titled “I Am a Restaurant,” it’s an illuminating look at the restaurant industry and its contributions to the Canadian economy and society generally. (If you look closely, you’ll see Mark Cutrara of Cowbell restaurant, who we profiled last summer.)
Thanks to everyone who’s contributed, read, re-tweeted, visited, and otherwise made my job a truly interesting one over the last year.
