Lights. Camera. Ketchup?
While the Toronto International Film Festival is a hotspot for celebrity sighting and all that is (or perhaps all that isn’t) Hollywood, star studded movie stars won’t be the only thing lighting up the red carpet.
After making a splash at the CNE, the food truck frenzy will continue at this year’s TIFF. According to the Toronto Food Trucks website, for the first time in history from September 7-16th, a host of gourmet food trucks will be perched outside Bloor Cinema giving movie goers and by-passers alike the opportunity to indulge in some delicious (and sustainable) fare.
While the official list of participating trucks has yet to be released, in an article released by the Toronto Star, TIFF spokesperson Geneviève Parent reveals that trucks including the Blue Donkey Streatery (Greek food), Buster’s Sea Cove (seafood and lobster), Caplansky’s Deli Truck, Curbside Bliss Cupcakes, The Food Dudes, Gourmet B1tches (gluten-free), Hogtown Smoke (BBQ), Rome’n Chariot (Italian), and Gorilla Cheese (grilled cheese).
Food trucks will be stationed outside Bloor Cinema from 7:30pm until midnight. Drop the popcorn and go green by snacking on the food choice that is naturally sustainable! Visit the TIFF website for a list of what’s playing and enjoy the show.
